Integrating academic skills in the curriculum: a partnership approach

Supporting our new students to make the transition higher education, so that they stay with us and succeed beyond their first year, has been a priority focus for University of Salford over past 18 months. As an academic skills team, based in Library, we have carved out integral role service responding this challenge. Building on prior success standalone eLearning programme, developed extensive set pathways complementary learning activities designed academics easily flexibly integrate into course delivery every student is connected right support at time. This presentation aimed share how active blended approach scalable allows local ownership opportunities contextualisation by colleagues. We explored established strategic project value partnership working community VLE team. hoped provide helpful examples it worked practice learn university.
